Platform and Technical
How many staff accounts can we create?
There is no fixed cap on the number of staff accounts. All staff: teachers, admin, senior leadership can have their own login. You control who has access to what through the permissions settings.
Can we control what different staff members can access?
Yes. Schooly uses role-based access controls, meaning each staff member sees only the data and modules relevant to their role. A classroom teacher, for example, won’t have access to finance records unless that permission is explicitly granted by an administrator.
Can teachers take attendance remotely. do they have to be on campus?
Yes, they can. Schooly is fully cloud-based, so attendance (and all other functions) can be recorded from any device with an internet connection whether that’s a classroom laptop, a personal phone, or a tablet at home.
Does Schooly work if our internet connection goes down?
Schooly is a cloud-based platform and requires an internet connection to function in real time. However, the mobile apps are designed to handle intermittent connectivity gracefully, and the platform will sync data automatically once the connection is restored.
How often is Schooly updated? Will updates disrupt our school day?
Schooly is continuously improved. Updates and new features are rolled out regularly we communicate these in advance so schools are never caught off guard. Updates are deployed during low-traffic periods to minimise any disruption.
Does Schooly support multiple campuses or school groups?
Multi-campus and school group requirements are something we can support. Please contact us to discuss your specific structure and we will advise on the best configuration for your needs.
We already use a different system, how difficult is it to switch to Schooly?
Switching is much simpler than most schools expect. We handle your data migration from your existing system at no extra cost. Our Customer Success team will manage the process end-to-end, and most schools are fully live on Schooly within days of committing, not months.
What if we decide Schooly isn't right for us?
We’re confident you’ll love Schooly, but we don’t believe in locking schools in. You can trial the platform free for 30 days before making any commitment. If you ever decide to leave, your data is yours and we’ll help you export it cleanly. Please speak to us about specific contract terms.
How is our data protected?
Schooly is hosted on Amazon AWS infrastructure, one of the world’s most trusted cloud platforms. We conduct regular penetration testing and apply multiple layers of authentication and user access control to protect your data from unauthorised access.
How does Schooly handle your data?
Schooly does not sell, share, or use your data for any purpose other than providing and supporting the service. If you choose to leave, your data can be exported in full.
What happens to our data if we stop using Schooly?
You will be given a full export of your data in a portable format before your account is closed. We do not retain your data beyond the period required by applicable data protection laws.
